It helps to know your way around a graphics program, such as Photoshop or Paint Shop, or even Paint. It's not as easy as making captures.

It takes alot of skills. I think members like SRK_lover and Reema have huge talent. It takes creativity as well. to Reema, SRK_lover, Shruti, and everyone who make beautiful SRK sigs.

Another free program is GIMP. I think there are tutorials online for that.

I'm also stretching my non existant IT wings with Photostudio, which came with my scanner and remained unused for the past 3 years. I'm definitely groping my way round  and I'll confirm that it's not as easy as making caps. :hmm:
It took me 2 hours and a lot of swearing and cursing (and a lot of it, not under my breath :D ) to make the following VERY basic sig. :haha:
I think it might help if I took the trouble to read the user's manual... So take heart, maybe the two of us can start our own beginners' sig and wally competition! :highfive:

it took me several years and several very patient tutors to help me make captures :blushing: and then only the most basic ones ... sounds like wallies are beyond me! but I might give the easiest ones a try.

With any program, you have to learn to use it. I'm sure I can speak for a few people who use Photoshop, we didn't learn in one day. You try something, get frustrated, try again, and again and again, until you get it. You have to be willing to work with it.

I am also new to sig making. I have made sigs and avatars (not the very best) with the help and advice from a few members.
It does take time and patience, and we learn more as we go along.
I use Ulead gif animator and Photofilter. I wish I had photo shop, but that is very expensive, I hear.

I have yet to make a wallie. my biggest problem is getting a background, and how to take an image from one pic and put into another. I'm not very good with the lasso tool. :P

What program did you use?
If it's the photoplus, I think you have to hit "export file" instead of "save as".
I may be wrong, but I did a practice one and that's what I did and it came out as jpeg.
