After Sarkar’s sequel, Ram Gopal Varma manages a casting coup once again. He is getting the Bachchans together

It is a star cast that most filmmakers would dream to work with. And Ram Gopal Varma has managed the feat not once but twice. Even before Ramu completes the sequel of his film Sarkar, he has already made plans of another film with the Bachchans.
According to a source close to the director," Ramu has planned to rope in Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya for Time Machine. The director took the decision of reviving the film during the outdoor shoot of his film Sarkar which is currently in progress in Hyderabad. Not only will the film have Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan but senior Bachchan too will be part of the project."
Ramu apparently narrated the script to Abhishek Bachchan during the shoot. Abhishek was quite excited with the subject and immediately agreed to be part of the film. Aishwarya will replace Kareena Kapoor in the project.
It maybe recalled here that Ramu had earlier planned to make the same film with ShahRukh Khan and Kareena.
Varma had planned the film early last year and wanted to finish the project from start to finish. By the time the director got ready to start the film in September he said," The kind of cinema I make is incompatible with Shah Rukh's image. I know he has a huge fan following among children and women who love his kind of films.
And the film I planned is completely opposite of the image he has amongst his fans..I would be a total mismatch with Shah Rukh."

Great news. Ram Gopal Varma has absolutely lost it as a director. Sarkar itself was a lousy movie, very undeserving of a sequel, and I am very happy SRK will never be a part of any of RGV's films.

What I don't like is that Kareena wss replaced for Ash. Looks like the Bachchans make it a compulsory deal nowadays to include Ash. So if a director wabts to sign AB he has to sign the son and DIL also. I guess disaster travels in threes.

Just hope all their films flop. Do they really think people still want to see them together? There's a Bachchan circus everywhere from award functions to now in films.

exactly! i don't care how he sugarcoats it, i'm very happy he is not working with SRK. i hope it flops belly up. actually it is perfect, they can't balme the flop on anyone. it will on the three musketeers themselves.
I guess disaster travels in threes.
:haha: it looks like it.

Honestly F--- RGV. I am happy SRK isnt doing this film because RGV. The truth is that SRK agreed to this project but RGV didnt his script ready in time so SRK had to reject his film. Now the donkey is saying something else. Im glad he has taken the AB's and Ash, now I just wait for this film to flop.
EDIT: RGV isnt a great director to begin with. He is one overrated talentless director who just reached popularity through his BS comments.
What does this **** **** man think of himself?I just have to say one thing:RGV & Bachchans go to hell!!!:curse: :curse:

RGV wanted to direct SRK in Company. I wonder how that film would resulted if SRK had done Malik's role instead of Ajay essaying it out.
I'm pretty sure that I read his comment about SRK's fan following last year. Glad to hear that he's doing The Time Machine with the Bachchans. :D An overexploited, old subject generally associated with various more or less mediocre western productions, plus the Bachchans = disaster. Go for it RGV! :sneaky:

Battle of the biggies!
SRK has now been replaced in Ram Gopal Varma's next project 'Time Machine' by the Big B and joining him will be Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan. E NOW got a confirmation from none other than Amitabh Bachchan himself.
"I think you need to ask this to Ram Gopal Varma, more than me. But, yes, we have spoken about the film and in future we will look into it." Looks like brand Bachchan is bigger than the brand SRK, at least in Ramu's books.

I just had to make that line bold as everyone knows SRK is the bigger brand BY FAR FAR!!

but isn't the rights and script for this film with SRK? Also to revive this project doesn't he need SRK's approval?

I dont like this article because it says SRK got replaced which is untrue. SRK actually dropped the project and honestly speaking there is no way Bacchan brand is bigger than SRK's brand.

RGV talking about Time Machine
"First of all, Time Machine was never killed. At that given point Time Machine was an idea. I didn't think then that it would be compatible with Shah Rukh. Over one and a half years, the script has changed. It suits the Bachchans now, as does my cinematic treatment of it-which is why Ash is now in the place of Kareena too."

from AB's interview....
After Ramgopal Varma Ki Aag, there are reports that you are planning another film with him, which the director initially wanted to make with Shah Rukh Khan. Is it true?
Ramu and I talk constantly of several projects simultaneously. It’s a common phenomenon with most artiste-director relationships. I am unaware whether the projects he has spoken of have also been discussed with Shah Rukh. That will be Ramu’s prerogative. It is very unlikely in today’s time that someone would design something with Shah Rukh and then work with me instead. It would be a sacrilege and self-destructive.
rest of the interview... lots of talk about AbhiAsh and Sarkar 2

I was wondering about that too, but I think he's saying that it would be a bad decision for the directors to go from Shahrukh to him, it would be "self-destructive" because it's their film which won't do as good as if Shahrukh was in it, or he could be trying to say that Shahrukh and Amitabh are two different actors, and that if you want somebody for the role you should have them in mind when designing the character, but I really don't know . . .

yeah... i think he means the age thing. how can u write a role with a 40 year old in mind and make it with a 65 year old.
