today i got i virus when i try to open the side from the new downloads(current new downloads) and virus tracker cant delete.
yesterday to a friend of mine happen the same with these side.....can you check???
i am afraid to go in again.

My antivirus tool stays silent when I go in there. Besides, I don't see a reason why this should happen as you described. As far as I have heard and experienced so far, most common forum softwares are rather secure, even more so if it's a closed forum such as this, where you need to register to write, and have close supervision like we have here.
Are you sure the virus is not on your own system and has spread to your friend or vice versa? I'd say check your system asap, and tell your friend to do the same. By far the most secure option to do this, btw, is to get the Knoppix security CD that was on many German PC magazines last winter (and should be findable for download somewhere), as that is based on Linux and guarantees that the virus detection itself doesn't spread viruses in your system.

I'm sure our programmer would need many more details about this before he could begin to investigate. What exactly happened, in detail? What led you to think it was a virus? What messages did you get? What web browser do you use? What Operating System? Do you have antivirus software installed and running? What did it say or do?

our work antivirus tool is a very good one, one that is used for universities and good updatet. at home with my alvira antivir i have no problems too. but it definitvly happend when i go to the downloads....
so have no idea why it happend there. just when i go in, the virussystem alarmed and tried to fix the problem.but the file cant be deleted.
system: windows xp
antivirus: symantic antivirus
browser : firefox and internet explorer.

actually a friend told me she got a trojan from this site, when she tried to log in. And I wonder what the pop-up outlook.exe is about, that wants to install itself when I enter trough the front page.

I always get a virus warning (actually three of them) when I forget about it and enter through the front page.
