No e-mail notification???

Dear Admin,
I am not getting instant e-mail notification of my subscribed threads despite allowing for it in my User CP. Can you please enable it? Thank you in advance!

We the admins have reported it to the webmaster. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. Sorry for your problem guys and thanx for being so patient.

In the meanwhile, just set it in your User CP to get popup notifications of PM's as soon as you come to the forum. I actually prefer it, have always had it set to do that. And it works too. :D

Well, sorry, Mary, nice idea, but I never switched it off in the first place. It just stopped working around the same time Anna posted her initial question. I just checked my settings, and I have still switched on both the notification for pms and for posts in subscribed threads. Only that I don't get any email from srk.org. :shrug:
Is there any chance to find out if these emails are sent out from here, but don't reach my email box? That would help in determining whether the fault lies with the function here or with my email provider...

But Sema, I'm not talking about the emails... I know those don't work. I'm talking about a little popup that well.... pops up! when you come to the forum and tells you you have a PM. I meant it as a workaround until the email notifications get fixed.

It's in your User CP -- Go to 'Edit Options', then 'Messaging & Notification'. It's at the bottom of that section. Still works for me!

None of us admins have any way to control or fix things like the email notification functions for the forum. That's all in the hands of the webmaster/programmer. Sorry!

Oh, you meant the popups. Yes, those work, I know, but they require that I come online into the forum, and if I don't have the time to check for new posts, all forums will be marked read when I come online the next time, which makes it a pain to find new posts, especially with the missing notifications.
It's better than nothing, though, so thanks for the hint.
