Anushka Sharma or Deepika Padukone?

Couple of questions:

Who do you think is luckier? Deepika in OSO with SRK(and his six pack rage) and Farah Khan as director? or Anushka in RNBDJ with SRK and Adi as director?

And can Anushka become as big as Deepika? I ask because Deepika has stunning looks and became an instant heartthrob but Anushka isn't as pretty.

I think RNBDJ will be like VZ, it'll have a bit of a different storyline but it'll still be a masala family film at its core ie romance, comedy, big and colourful with great songs.

I actually think that Anushka is far more prettier than Deepika. Deepika is also pretty but something is missing in her looks. I think Anushka is really pretty from what I have seen so far, the pics etc. Also I think Anushka will get very big because she has the best launch a newcomer can have. What I feel now? Honestly, nothing. Deepika portrayed a glamourous superstar of the seventies, a person that was by all I was told about the real severnties more shine than being, more being a pretty face than having real acting skills other than to dance and look beautiful in a film, and as far as I can see she did that perfectly. I have not seen her out of an OSO context, so I can't say anymore about her.
From all we know about Anushka Sharma, she's supposed to play a more earthy character, and her looks may go wonderfully with it. All else will have to wait till we saw the movie, which may take a long while longer for us here in Germany than for you out there in the US, UK and India.

Which is another reason why I don't understand your impatience at all. *You* have a fixed date to look forward to, I still don't know if I will be able to see the film in a cinema before the year is over!

Deepika is Prakash Padukone's daughter... she was a known face... did a music video for Himesh and then got OSO. Who is Anushka? We know nothing. And she has bagged the sole SRK release this year that is directed by the scion of the biggest production house of the country.

Yeah, no actor is granted to be good only because he was launched by some good production etc. They have to prove themselves.
Look at Amisha patel, such a wonderful acting in kaho na pyar hai and gadar.

And what happened to Mahima Chaudhury and Gayatri Joshi? Where are they now?

The Mohabbatein newcomers formed a crowd. The focus of the movie was SRK-AB. Neither will any of the Chak De girls gain much out of CDI now in spite of making debuts with SRK in a YRF blockbuster... and all of them acted well actually. Neither Mohabbatein nor CDI had proper female leads. But in RNBDJ Anushka is the focus of a Adi-SRK movie... like Simran of DDLJ. That's the biggest one can ask for. I am sure that will be voted THE dream role if current actresses are polled. It is giving-one's-right-arm-to stuff. For a newcomer its just unthinkably huge. Now whether RNBDJ will make as much money or news as OSO is a different issue.

My instinct is Anushkha is a very good actress thats why she got that role in first place. If you bring in deepika then i would say farah afforded her role in OSO just because she dint have much to act in it.
And I believe Anushkha will do great job and beg some more movies in the industry because of her acting talent.
Ans she is lucky to have worked with SRK, she must have learnt a lot from him not only acting but some other stuff too.

I enjoyed Deepika in OSO and she is quite pretty!
I think OSO and RNBDJ are two different types of films. Anushka probably won't have that glamour 70s look which Deepika wore SO WELL and looked stunning doing so. I think Anushka is supposed to be playing a girl next door kind of like Kajol of DDLJ - no fancy wardrobe.
