My review On RNBDJ-Below My expectations..hoping the songs will grow on me ..

*My personal views on the album*
So I got my hands on the songs htrough the forums, I was extreamly excited the album is fiinally out then when I tried to listen to the songs....

NOTE: I Love shahrukh khan,no doubt about it !! :D
But seems like a pattern where i dont like the adi's choice of music he puts in his movies like MOHOBATIEN, DDLJ songs were classic but previous movie MOHOBATIEN...only one or 2 tracks grew on me over SOME years...maybe the same the case wth this ..?

Song 1:

TujheMein Rab Dikhtha Hai

I personally don't like the sound of the singers voice,if srk is to lip sync to this song ..its just going to look weird and all,thats what I feel,wish sonu nigam had sang it or atleast...Udit..!! The lyrics are nice, romantc and all, so thats the only plus point of the song, but the beats are slow,since its a slow song,but im not sure why,it's borng me... :ohboy:

The music very catchy, probably the best track in the whole soundtarck. The lyrics are simple , and feels nice to my ears.

Dance Pe Chance

I can't believe ths song is in the sound track...I take it as this song is supposed to be a dance number or soemthing? a fast paced song? pretty bad for a yash raj's film,nothiing catchy about this...the female singer gets annoying with her voice,i know that she sngs great,shes sung so many of my favourite songs,But am finding her annoying in this one..

Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte

actualy I liked this song sort of time pass,good beat,intresting lyrics, almost like a remix of the oldies of bollywood for some of those who know what Im talking about :wink: but I personally Wouldn't want to hear it again and again, its one timer for ...for now..

Female Version of Tujhe Mein Rab Diktha Hai

Ths version sounds alot better than the male one,the lyrics were good,and the music is better than the male one,for some reason,this one sounds a lot sadder, so this song I would rate higher than the male one,I think its the sound of Roop Kumar Rathod's voice that ruined the song for me :ohboy:

I love remixes...and this one is pretty good,incorprates all 3 major songs of the tracks into one, makes me wanna dance to this unlike dance pay chance!!

Overall rating of this album would give it a 2.5/5

I wish there was more songs for this album, atleast some remixes and a theme instermental like Om Shanti Om had, that would have been nice. I had high expectations of the album, but I feel sad I m not as content with the songs, I hope the movie is a lot better though.

After watching the film ,with the music videos my opinion might change about it..or atleast the songs will grow on me sooner or later,since most of you are loving the songs...

The title song will most likely be picturized something like Tere Liye from Veer-Zaara. That's my guess.

The songs are very situational, I think. They will suit the movie. Hope you like 'em more once the promos of new songs come out :)

Yeah about Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai - you have to remember the kind of character Suri is. He isn't your typical Raj or Rajul...He's an older, plainer guy and Roop's deeper & richer voice fits it perfectly IMO.

I'm so glad this album doesn't have those umpteen remixes - club and lounge and next will be living room and bedroom etc. :ohboy:

This is an album filled with melody, simple and heartwarming, yet very meaningful

^^Yes, exactly...plus you can tell the thought and hard work in making the music, for e.g. just by listening to Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte. It's really challenging to combine all those legendary songs and blend them together into one piece, while making it modern. Plus, the idea behind it isn't just to mimic them or sing those songs like in a medley, but to suit the particular situation in the movie.
