A hajjaam is one who trims hair and shaves or trims mustache and beard.

[B]* - The Kauravas were the bad guys in the Indian epic Mahabharata.
** - Jalebi is an Indian sweet which is made up of 2-3 rounds. Here when they say he's as straight as a Jalebi they mean the opposite - that he's as layered as a Jalebi and not as simple or ordinary as they thought he was, since he knows Sahir Khan).
*** - Lemons are strung outside a home to bring good luck to the home. Here they say they'll hang like lemons from his mustache to indicate that they'll add their luck to his. And why just lemons, they'll bring luck as big as oranges. What they actually mean is that they want to be associated with him, be a part of his fame, get close to Sahir Khan through him).
**** - A black dot on the forehead or any place on the face is put to ward off any evil eye or harm to that person.

The problem is that it is even more difficult to get the word because they are not speaking normal Hindi here. They using the village language like "Eehaan" for "Yahan" meaning "Here". So its makes it more difficult to understand.

You won't believe waht happened. Last night I was thinking of that stupid 'panti' in the translation, the part I didn't translate. I went to sleep and the whole night those 2 lines of the song were in my head. I dreamed of it, of that scene in the booklet. :D

I woke up this morning and I knew what panti was! :haha: At least I'm 90% sure I'm right. What a revelation.

I think Panti is his stick. It's like a bicycle bell in the sense that you use a bell to move poeple out of your way. He uses his stick the same way. Ujj and I thought of the stick initially but we couldn't see the resemblance to a bell physically or sound wise. So we left it. But now I'm thinking the reference is to its use like a bell. I've added the trans to the song.

I wish I'd dreamed of SRK instead. :( :D
