View Full Version : Question about Cricket
so i was reading a bit on cricket since i haven't seen many matches.i'm trying to figure out how you get 150 runs from one batsman.is there a set number of balls they get or is it just until they get out?because i know the same guy can't bowl more than 6 overs.i'm just a bit confused:hmm:

Oh man. There are quite a few discrepencies in your post, including the fact that you think someone can bowl a max of 6 overs. It is 6 balls per over, and in Twenty20 format, it is 4 overs max per bowler. The batsman can bat, bat and bat until he either gets out, or the inning is over - meaning, all 20 overs are over. And within those 20 overs, if he manages to hit 150, good on him. It would be ridiculously difficult to do that though. Actually, the best way to learn the game, for you, would be to watch a few KKR games. Sign on WillowTV or try the BCCI free stream. A couple of games, and you would get to know quite a few rules, thanks to the same set of commentators repeating the same things over and over again, in the same old "I cannot believe I am getting paid to do the same thing everyday" excitable tone.
okay.thanks a bunch.i'll check them out.

Also what exactly is the D/L method...I'm still mad at how KKR lost a game against DC last season cuz of the rains...even though they were leading. Still don't get it lol

^ No one has ever got the DL. It is indeed a crazy rule. Better ignore it :D

I don't think KKR lost any match against DC last year. DC lost due to DL though.
