Hello,
i have suggestion to make - i hope i'm right here!

First for explaining my case: yesterday i finally got the Billu-DVD. I hav'nt seen the film before, so yesterday was basicly the first time that i saw the movie, almost one year after its release!
After watching the movie, i quickly wanted to leave comment on the movie in the right section. But again the hole billu-section was already moved to the archive-section.
Almost the same happend last year with me, when i bought the rab ne-dvd. That time i could watch the film in cinema on time, but when i got the dvd about 8 to 10 month later, i wanted to comment a few things. But the rab ne-section was moved to the archive.

Yes i know, there is the movie-discussion-section which i appreciate. But i personally feel odd opening a new thread in that section, while there is a big movie-review section for that particular film.

So here comes my suggesstion: why not making another sub-forum only for movie-reviews/discussions?
I understand the fact, why the complete sub-forum for a film is going to the archive, with all the downloads, pre-discussions, news etc. etc. - because there is no need to discuss these things again, and you need to safe the space!
But the movie-reviews/discussions is something that would be used again and again, definatly i think. Because the movie will be watched many times after its release, and there will be many people who have'nt seen one film before - because maybe they became new fans or just missed one film.

So, when the film-sub-forum is moved to, the archive-section, one could take only the reviews for that film into another sub-forum - the review/discussin-forum. And there people could go all the time and discuss the film forever.

So, this is my suggestion... - maybe you admins could think about it! :)
Thank You + Bye :escape:

I second that idea, sometimes there are older movies where I start wondering how others see this, but since the movie is old, few people are eager to restart from scratch with me. It would help a lot to be able to read reviews about older films as well, and maybe re-ignite discussion about one point or another.
I do realize though that this method would clutter up the forum some.

I don't think taking the reviews of a movie and adding it to a forum each time the movie is archived is a good idea. It adds to the work and the clutter.

I think it's also weird to carry on from a discussion that has stopped 2 years back. Most members have forgotten the discussions anyway.

My suggestion is to open a new discussion in the section we already have. :)

I agree with Uma. If you want to read what was discussed in the past, just go into the archives. If you see a point you want to discuss more, copy and paste the point into a new thread in the SRK Movies section. Archived is archived, we can't be going back and adding to them all the time. :)
