It's no big deal but my posts don't show when I click the 'New Posts' tab. Just wondered why and if anyone else has the same problem.

What do you mean by 'my posts' Pawan? When a thread has been viewed, it goes away from New Posts, it doesn't stay there like it used to. So if you've posted in a thread and then click New Posts again, that thread won't be there. Is that what you meant?

Yes...that's what I meant.
Still trying to get the hang of the new forum. Thanx, Reema.

I don't like how the thread goes away in 'New Posts' once you've viewed it, I liked the old way...

And I like it better this way. LOL! It always used to bug me how the New Posts list kept on showing posts that weren't new any more. A couple of changes in method help though... if you press the F5 key (refresh browser) instead of hitting New Posts again right away, you'll still see the posts that were there the last time, but their info will be refreshed. (Like if you've added a post to a thread.)

Also, if you want to later see what was posted a while ago, go under Quick Links and choose "Today's Posts". Like magic, there they are. :)

Yeah...that's what I've been doing now (and did so sometimes in the old forum).

But 'New Posts' is showing threads from far back as 1st June.

Like I said... if you just refresh with F5 instead of clicking New Posts again right away... they will stay around. Don't click New Posts until you're truly ready to deal with New Posts. :D

Maybe the thread is that old, but has newer posts you haven't seen? I dunno, ask Reema. :)

Yea, if you haven't read a post, it'll keep showing up in new posts, under the heading "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts."

The main reason I set New Posts to how it is now, is because in the original setting, if you were on the forum, and then got up from your computer for a bit of time, and then came back to New Posts, everything would be marked as read. This happened often to me, I would have to leave for a sec and it would take longer than expected, then I lose all the new posts and have to wade thru the forum manually. I'm sure it happened to other ppl as well. I felt this was the lesser of the two evils.
