Alright guys, big game ahead. We'll have Lee, Shakib, Haddin, and Pattinson back in the team.
Bad news? They will have Watson.
Let's see how it goes. Go KKR!:boxing:

Crap! My bad guys :P Admin, please change the date.
Anyway, I don't think they should tamper too much with the winning side. They don't need Haddin, Pattinson, and Shakib for sure. They can include Lee, but he didn't perform well in front of Bangladesh.
They have a solid line up right now and playing with the same team won't be a bad idea.

Watson coming back is really bad news for us. He is probably the best ODI player in the world at the moment. The KKR side should be:
Kallis
Bisla
Gambhir
Tiwary
Pathan
Morgan
Ryan TenD
Abdullah
Bhatia
Balaji
Lee

Balaji to me didnt impress last game.. Let's hope he does better tomorrow. :)

To be fair to Balaji, he has been mixing up his deliveries really well. He doesn't have the pace, but has been making it up with variety.

oh yay it's the 4pm one. They are so much more convenient for me to stay awake for.
GO KKR!!! You guys can win!!
Depending on the pitch, we could play either Shakib or Lee. But we shouldn't include haddin, give morgan and ten doeschate another go. They haven't really had a chance to prove themselves with the bat yet.

The view is so much different from over here the other side of the Pacific! I have to get up at 3:30 AM to see a 4 PM IST game... instead of the usual 7:30 AM, which I much prefer. I'm sure you understand. :D
So I'll try to remember.. when it's good timing for me, it's bad for someone else!

^Aww. 3:30? Damn. Don't you have work and stuff after? :)
For me it's 6:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. ... I love the early early morning games when I don't have school ... *Or I just skip school. Lol* :)

Thank god I dont' have any uni lectures early which I have to go, I do have some- but those I don't need to go to :D

For me the 2nd match is 9:30 am, a very comfortable time to watch. I generally skip the 1st matches. What to do. :(

I think they should just retain their previous team. Keep Haddin out, Bisla hasn't been outstanding, but hasn't been bad either. He has been very crucial in forming a good opening partnership, and that matters a lot when batting.

None of our returning players performed well in Aus-Bangladesh series. I hope KKR makes a right decision by keeping Ryan and Morgan in the team.

Well, a one off series doesn't take away from the fact that Lee has tremendous experience and was bowling well in the World Cup. Likewise for Shakib, he is amongst the best all rounders in the world today alongside Kallis and Watson. With Haddin, there is no much to choose from, but purely to avoid making a lot of changes, Bisla should be given another match I think. Only negative would be Bisla wouldn't have kept to someone with Lee's pace, so he might have to cope a bit, which would still be more than what Haddin would have to do to keep on these pitches for spinners

Lee will be an awesome addition. Plus they should play Shakib instead of Ryan TenD
So Kalli, Lee, Shakib and Morgan/Haddin

KKR will not have part of SRK's presence in the stands. I understand (if I understood well), as the today is the commemoration of his mother, and he will miss. KKR may win for him, so go, go KKR
maryah
Apr-15-11, 06:05 AM
^Hasn't SRK said that he'll attend only matches played in Kolkata? Or am I thinking of earlier seasons? I also read that comment about commemorating his mother, but perhaps that applies to Sunday's match?

Was that SRK at 79-3, in a KKR shirt and a Rajasthan style headdress?? So he is there??
The announcer said "one of India's most beloved men..." so it had to be!

God bless the third umpire who gave the wrong decision. Had it not been for him, Gambhir wouldn't have been furious, and played like he did :D
We are now at third. Good stuff. We need the momentum to continue. Kallis is playing his role perfectly at the top. Just wish his bowling could be a bit more economical.

Wow what an emphatic victory that was. I saw only the first half before leaving for work, and I thought they did not bowl well enough, and fielded even worse. On that slow slow pitch, it seemed like a winning total. But what terrific batting from these two. Jacques Kallis, take a bow man, what a player. Fields in the deep, is safe as a house under those catches, bowls his quota of overs consistently and sets himself up to bat through the 20 overs every single time. Gambhir played a masterful innings today, at least until that Amit Singh over that I got to watch. That is how a #3 should play.
Gotta say, KKR looking very very good indeed. They have won 2 out of 3 games, and Pathan and Morgan are still to fire. That makes these wins even more special. Bad ploy from Warne not to open with Watson. You have the best ODI player in the world currently, you give him as many overs to play with as possible. Simple as that. Still, their total was good enough. But there is just way too much class in Kallis and Gambhir and they made a difficult chase look like a walk in the park. Great.

Best thing about the win is Gambhir leading from the front. If the captain is in form, it reflects in the team performance. Future looks bright.
